Income tax department raids house of Sagardighi MLA Byron Biswas over alleged tax evasion

The Income Tax Department, in collaboration with central forces, conducted a raid at the residence of Byron Biswas, MLA from Sagardighi in Murshidabad district. The raid, initiated on Wednesday morning in Shamserganj, is part of an investigation into allegations of tax evasion against the MLA. Byron's house is currently surrounded by central paramilitary forces.

Simultaneous income tax raids are ongoing in various locations in Murshidabad and Birbhum. Byron Biswas is facing accusations of evading taxes over an extended period, leading to the Income Tax Department's scrutiny.
